Measurements
It takes three important factors to consider before deciding on the size of your carport. The size of your car or vehicle, the projection from the wall of your property, and the length or width of your carport structure.
Our Carports are available in sizes as low as 2m and up to 6m projection by any length. It’s also worth noting that when purchasing more than one carport, you have the option of extending your first carport.
Wallmounted or Freestanding Aluminium
Due to the long-lasting nature of recyclable aluminium, and the fact that it does not rot or rust, we only supply aluminium metal carports. You will notice our carefully designed, high-quality carports provide excellent protection to withstand the British elements.
Once you have carefully chosen your system from our extensive range, each carport is crafted by hand for a perfect fit, but we can also supply standard sizes as kits for DIY installations. Carport roofs are used in a variety of ways.
Polycarbonate or Toughened Safety Glass
We have a range of roof panel options, including shatter-resistant polycarbonate or toughened safety glass, either way, you will have a domestic canopy to be proud of.
Sun, Wind, Snow or Rain
Our carports have you covered.
SBI structures have high-end toughened glass or polycarbonate roof inserts.
They are able to withstand severe winds and torrents and rainy conditions.
A free-standing carport on its own can provide less security than a standard garage, but it is more ventilative.
The absence of walls (alongside an existing supporting wall) does not restrict the natural fresh air while also providing a protective barrier against rain.
With that said, we can also supply your carport with side panels and a roller shutter door for your carport, to give it the secure functionality of a fully enclosed garage while offering protection for your cars.
Style & Colour
If you desire a more classic look, simply add the decorative post brackets and base castings as options from our brand range. This optional feature can be added at any time if you desire built-in lighting with your carport.
For an extra charge, our domestic car ports can be coated in any RAL colour of your choice.

Not usually! In most cases, you do not need planning permission for an attached free standing garden carport in England.

What is a good size for a garden carport?
The average car is around 4.5 metres long and 1.8 metres wide, so a good size for a carport would be around 6 metres long and 2.4 metres wide.
This would give you enough space to park your car comfortably and leave room to walk around it.
